"Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it." (Isa.
40: 1; 4 - 5) Whom would you compare Him to? (Isa. 40: 17 - 18) Those who don't know Him may worship golden statues. But you, who know Him want to broadcast to the world:
(Rev. 21: 9) "The tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain." Rev. 21: 3 - 4) If He has delivered you: "from the power of darkness, and translated [you] into the Kingdom of His dear Son,"
(Col.. 1: 13) then you are part of the Bride of Christ, and the Kingdom of God resides within you!
When you pray, therefore, ask the Father to show you the part you are to play in His Kingdom and how to pray for situations. Are you concerned about the state of the economy today? Be assured that the world system is not God's system.
Every seed sown has consequences. Where the world at large has sown many seeds of discord and inequity over the centuries, consequences will be reaped. This translates into weather calamities, economical chaos and diseases.
The good news is that you do not belong to the kingdom of this world. You are in it, but not of it. (John 17: 16) "In the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16: 33) Certain trends and disasters will continue as per the many prophecies foretold in the Bible. Other global or national situations we can avert or change through our prayers.
For instance, we are charged specifically to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Ps. 122:6) and "for kings, and all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty" (1 Tim. 2: 1 - 2) God is your Provider, your Healer, and your Peace.
Therefore, if God be for you, who can be against you! (Rom.
8: 31) Pray to receive His Wisdom and to know Him and the glory of His inheritance for you, and His power at your disposal here on earth. When you pray for His Kingdom to come, thank Him for:
"the exceeding greatness of His power to usward who believe which He wrought in Christ and set Him far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name and hath put all things under his feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all."
