Seeking Gods Overwhelming Majesty

God is indescribable, magnificent, awesome, awe inspiring, holy and majestic. He is so very beautiful that the human mind does not have words or expressions to describe Him.
Although awesome in majesty and power, this wonderful God you serve is also Love. He is love. He loves you so much that He came to earth, took on human form, and died for you a sinner, just so you would never have to die.
Oops, as the Holy Spirit prompted me to write this, I realize I don't really look full in His beautiful face very often! Do you? Moses was in His presence and saw only a minute part of His back and afterwards his face radiated so brightly he had to keep it covered! (Ex. 34: 30)
"Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore" (Ps. 105: 4)
But you and I, who are born of God, can and should seek His face daily. When you sit at His feet, waiting, listening and asking, do you look up? To seek something requires determination until the desired object is found. It takes quietness of spirit, time and focus. That is not easy when you're accustomed to distractions and instant gratification.
The title of this article is based on Job 37: 22-24. Job was wise in his own eyes. Although he loved God, followed Him wholeheartedly, and consequently was extremely blessed, he was full of fear. This fear was the open door for Satan to have his way in his life.
By offering up sacrifices on behalf of his family, Job took control over the lives of his entire family out of God's hands and into his own. But God is so good! In His mercy He showed Job His majesty, awesome power and infinite justice, and Job was transformed!
I just got up to take a break (or so I thought!) and flicked on the Christian channel. There displayed before my eyes was His radiating overwhelming majesty! Thank you, Lord! He knows that I could not possibly begin to adequately describe what He wants to share with you. The Lord is revealing Himself to many people of all faiths and nationalities all over the world these days. Seek His face continually, and He will show Himself to you in all His majesty; yet in perfect love. There is no fear, shame or doubt in Perfect Love.
"Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. Men do therefore fear [reverence] him; he respecteth not any that are wise of heart." (Job 37: 23-24)
"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth." (Ps. 121: 1-2)
